Me and my mom

CoRi dAwN and my mom
(I think we look a lot alike)

I've been thinking lots about my mom lately.
She's cool. And funny.
Really funny.
I posted this picture but I really wanted to post a picture I got a couple of weeks ago via text message from my sister Dana.
The picture is of my mom,
only the bottom half of my mom.
And well you could tell she had been
laughing a lot!
Out of control type of laughter.
You know...the kind where you lose "control".
I wish I had been there.

Dear Mom,
I love to hear you laugh.
I also love to see the results of your laughter.
You are a good mom and I am grateful for you.
Let's do something soon.
Love,
CoRi dAwN

Sunday~ Stake Conference

Today was Stake Conference.
(Stake Conference is a conference or meeting where many
members from the same geological area of my church gather
together and listen to our local leaders)
It was really nice.

On my new phone (more about that later) I found a very cool video about William Tyndale and the scriptures and then I saw the same video on Alyson's blog. I think I was suppose to be reminded about how important being grateful for and studying the scriptures is.

I loved the message so much I think all y'all should watch it also.
*don't forget to click pause on my music*

It was wonderful and I felt happy to leave
Alyson
and watch her walk away with the
Lord's inspiration and instructions
in her hands.
I know that she and all of my kids will be happy if they
read and love the scriptures.

Dear William Tyndale,
I am grateful for your sacrifice.
I have no doubt that you were inspired and guided by the Lord.
A simple thank you is not strong enough.
So with as much fierceness and gratitude and love as I can type with I say to you,
THANKS!! I am blessed because of you
and others like you.
Much Love,
CoRi dAwN

The relatives came!

What a blast we  have when the relatives come.
And last night did not disappoint.
Aunt Laura, Uncle Tony, and Cousin Tyler stopped by on their way to
And we just had a big fat blast.
We ate so much yummy food.
And laughed, we always laugh when they come.
Dana's family also came over and well they just make any
gathering more fun.

All of the fun reminds me of a book Mychael-Ann gave us when she and her family came to visit.
A GREAT BOOK CALLED
"THE RELATIVES CAME"
Adore this book, since it has a Virginia connection!

The real excitement happened when a tiny little cute bird flew into our house. ALL the little kids (8 of them) ran around the house screaming and giggling. Poor little bird, I'm sure it was very traumatized. He or she couldn't find the way out and just kept smacking its cute little head on the ceiling. Anyway it was cute and now I kinda what to buy a bird.

And here they are all tired from driving across the country.

Dear Tony, Laura, and Tyler,
Thanks so much for stopping by on your rode trip.
I loved seeing ya'll. And I'm proud of Tyler all grown up and stuff.
Wish we could have had more time together!!
Love you tons.
Love,

Grasshoppers Galore

Check out my new little friends Emilee, Jarret, and I found in my flowers. I think they are so cute! Well kinda..mostly not so cute actually, but cool. Emilee and Jarret do a fantastic job noticing the world around them! And they do a fantastic job making sure I am aware of what they notice.

By the way....HAPPY LABOR DAY!!

Dear Emilee and Jarret,
Thanks for making me stop and take a look at what is right in front of me.
I am happy you are still amazed by the little things.
Enjoy the world around you.
Love,
CoRi dAwN

New Student Orientation

Welcome to BYU!
BYU did an amazing job welcoming the incoming class of 2011!
There was a cute little pep rally where they took the class picture in the shape of a Y.
There was fireworks and the marching band.
Some athletes and some cheerleaders.
AND OF COURSE COSMO WAS THERE!!
WHO DOESN'T LOVE COSMO?
I KNOW I DO!
Kinda made me wish I was new student instead of a mom of a new student.
But not really.

CoRi dAwN and Mike

Dear BYU,
Thanks for being so welcoming!
If I must send my beautiful daughter away to college,
I glad she is there.
Take care of her, she is precious.
Love,
