TWENTY YEARS

Happy Anniversary to
CoRi dAwN and Mike!
That's right, we've been
married for an amazing 20 years.
I love my man!
He's been the best husband and
I am glad he's mine. He cooks and he cleans,
He mows the grass and makes me laugh.
He reminds me what is most important
and calms me down.
He calls me pretty.
What I ADORE most about my Mike
is that he loves my babies.
I mean he is really the best dad ever!
There is NOTHING that makes me happier
than my hot man lovin' on my babies.

So today, I dedicate this song to the love of my life...

Dear Mike,
I adore you!
Twenty years is nothing.
There's a whole lot more
where those twenty came from.
I love your guts!!
Love,
CoRi dAwN

Back to School

The kids are back in school.
Well almost all of them,
Alyson leaves to BYU in just three short days.
Emilee and Jarret started first a couple of weeks ago.
I hate how short the summer feels, I think school shouldn't start until after Labor Day, but I'm pretty sure the district doesn't care what I think. Anyway I think they were happy to go back, which kinda makes me sad. I want them to always want to be with me.
Bryant and Dawson started a week ago.
I can't believe that my little Bryant is a Senior and Dawson an eighth grader. They are growing up way way way too fast! Bless those boys hearts, I know they didn't want to go back! But for some reason I don't think it's because they wanted to hang out with me.
I know.. right!?
Shocking!
So I'm at home...ALONE.
It's quiet. Too quiet.

Another special little treat this year is that Isabelle and Owen are going to the same school as Emilee and Jarret! My kids couldn't be happier. In fact we have had many discussions about how it's not OK to go to the park and play with your cousins on the way to school. Apparently cousin time is party time even if you're on your way to school.

Dear Bryant, Dawson, Emilee, and Jarret,
I miss you! But I hope you will love school and
learn all that you can so that you can grow up and
be whatever you want to be....as long as it's not
dangerous.
Love,
CoRi dAwN

Guess what I did this Sunday

My little Emilee is SO sad to have
her big sister go away to college.
Sooo...
I'm sending Emilee away with Alyson.
In flat form.
And I worked on my little
flat Emilee today.

And Boy O Boy did I make a mess!

Dear Flat Emilee,
Have a blast at BYU!

A Perfect Night

It's a perfect Colorado night.
Beautiful weather, stars shining, and crickets chirping.
On nights like tonight my mind takes me away..
far far away...
to a place where I'm driving my dream car
and my hair is blowing in the wind.
This is the car of my dreams!

Dear Old Hot Rod Camaro that I love,
I have loved you for as long as I can remember.
I long for the day when you are my reality!
Love,
CoRi dAwN

A great distraction

I have just finished a very long stretch at work.
I worked 7 out of 8 nights.
My job is hard.
Mentally. Physically. Emotionally.
HARD.
I needed it.
Work is a great distraction.
And I need a distraction cause sometimes life is hard.

I love Mindy Gledhill, scroll down and click pause on my playlist to hear her.

Dear ?,
Sometimes it's just hard.
But I think it will be OK.
Love,
CoRi dAwN

I love Sunday naps.

I love Sundays,
it's the best napping day.
Good Night.

 I hope.
No open eyes! I refuse.

Dear Sleep,
You are my favorite past time.
I love you.
Love,
CoRi dAwN

I am SO proud of Bryant!!

A couple of days ago Bryant went on a "50 Miler".
He backpacked through our beautiful Rocky Mountains
for "50" miles, which ended up being a total of 5 days.
During that time he scaled four 14ers.

A couple of years ago Bryant first tried to hike a 14er.
During that hiking trip he had some
severe anxiety and was unable to complete the hike.

He was sad, I was sad for him.

But not this time.
This time Bryant accomplished all
that he set out to do.

Dear Bryant,
I am proud of you!
You worked hard and
accomplished your goal.
Keep doing that!
I love your guts.
Love,
CoRi dAwN
