What a lovely Mother's Day!

Many Mother's Days I am reminded of how much better I could be. My best is not THE best and I am painfully reminded of that on Mother's Day and I often feel like a huge failure.

However yesterday I tried not to care.

Yesterday I tried to not focus on my mothering and I tried to focus on the mothering I receive. I have some very amazing mothers in life! And I love them!

From these amazing women, who are my mothers, I have learned:
to love.
to work really hard.
to endure.
to be faithful.
to enjoy my kids.
to laugh....hard.
so hard you wet your pants.
and to love Jesus.

Dear Teresa, Dinie, Doris, and Marita,
Thank you for your mothering. If ever you had a Mother's Day where you felt like a failure know this... To me you are NOT! To me you are amazing and I love you.
Love,

This one if for my mom.

Today's video is dedicated to
My Mom.
My mom is pretty dang cool.
I think she's kinda a rocker and I think she'll always be that way.
In fact she told me just the other day that her new favorite song is by
Linkin Park.
I was only a little bit surprised.
But anyway she goes to see
Trans-Siberian Orchestra
every single year.
Never misses.
So for today when you watch this one,
think of my mom or perhaps yours.

Oh and, with some help from my good friend
Char and Emilee and Jarret, my house is now decorated. And I am so relieved. That is hard stuff to put up all those decorations.

Dear Mom,
I am glad you are a rocker. I'll never forget when I first realized that! You running through the house "jumping" to Van Halen's "Jump". It's a good memory. I wish I could see ya do it now, I bet we'd both laugh so hard we'd.....you know. I love you.
Love,

Me and my mom

CoRi dAwN and my mom
(I think we look a lot alike)

I've been thinking lots about my mom lately.
She's cool. And funny.
Really funny.
I posted this picture but I really wanted to post a picture I got a couple of weeks ago via text message from my sister Dana.
The picture is of my mom,
only the bottom half of my mom.
And well you could tell she had been
laughing a lot!
Out of control type of laughter.
You know...the kind where you lose "control".
I wish I had been there.

Dear Mom,
I love to hear you laugh.
I also love to see the results of your laughter.
You are a good mom and I am grateful for you.
Let's do something soon.
Love,
CoRi dAwN
